Our Services
Personal therapy with me is a place to reflect your life and relationships, and to make changes that matter in the real world. We look at what is not working for you now—patterns in relationships, family tensions, stress at work, difficult decisions, or places where you feel stuck—and trace how they developed, what keeps them going, and what could begin to shift. The work is emotionally serious but also practical: we pay attention to your part in interactions, to what is within your control, and to how you can move toward a more stable, satisfying way of living, one step at a time.

Trauma and recovery work with me is careful, body-based, and informed by how the brain processes time and overwhelming experience. We work with both the nervous system and the story: physical injuries, body memories, and somatic reactions, as well as the images, flashes, and situations that feel “stuck in the past” but still intrude into the present. Neuroscience suggests that brain systems involved in traumatic memory can have difficulty placing events in time, which is why some experiences feel as if they are “still happening” rather than clearly belonging to the past; therapy here focuses on helping your body and brain register that what happened is over, and that you are in a different moment now. Using approaches that are attentive, detailed, and supportive—including time-focused methods like Lifespan Integration—we work on reconnecting body and mind, softening the grip of traumatic memories, and allowing a more continuous sense of self and time to emerge so that daily life can become safer, steadier, and more livable again.
Relationship therapy with us is about working on a specific set of skills necessary for a workable relationship. Our approach is different that many couples therapies out there. What to expect? You work with two therapists, each partner with their own therapist, then come together for some joined sessions. We follow a clear protocol that progresses from individually addressing your most difficult points, to helping partners have productive conversations about any topic. If you’re tired of paying to have your arguments analyzed and are ready to do some meaningful work on your relationship, this approach may be a good fit for you. Assessments offer a vital understanding of both children’s and adults’ functional and behavioral patterns, providing clarity on underlying concerns. These clinically validated assessments are a valuable tool in my practice, allowing us to create a clear picture of what is happening. They can be shared with your family doctor or other care providers to support informed decision-making. By integrating assessments, we ensure your care is grounded in clear, actionable insights. Please book a free phone consultation to determine what type of assessment will best suit your needs.

Family therapy with me is for families under high stress or in crisis, especially those dealing with complicated systems. Family therapy with me is both practical and psychologically effective. I draw on experience with immigration, legal, social, and medical systems to understand your family’s situation in a broad, real-life way, not just from a counselling perspective. As a family therapist in New Westminster, BC, I can help with support letters, coordination with other professionals, reunification therapy, and case-management type support alongside family counselling. I work with families dealing with aging parents, dementia care, children with special needs, court involvement, social service involvement, and reunification, addressing psychological, social, and biological aspects of family life.
